Juniper Joy was the 4th baby to join our family. At 19 weeks and 2 days, Juniper was welcomed into my arms, and immediately into the arms of her Creator. Juniper is loved and remembered by her parents, Nathan and Kristi, and her siblings, Elijah, Elliot Grace, and Colesen. Her absence is and always will be deeply felt.
One of the reasons we chose the name "Juniper" is because it is the only tree/shrub that provides shade in the desert. As we read stories about Juniper trees in the Bible, we came across the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 19. Elijah was weak and asked the Lord to take his life. Elijah took refuge under a Juniper tree and an angel came to him. Once Elijah slept and rested under the tree, he woke up and continued following God. The Lord gave me this phrase early this year that resonated with that story - hope is found under the Juniper tree. When we own our weakness and allow God to meet us where we are, He gives us hope and restoration.
The last thing Juniper and I did together was staff a weekend experience in Colorado, called Equilibrium. Liminal Work has become an integral part of our family for the last several years, and our family has committed to answering the call God placed on our heart to join the Liminal team full time. In a holy and precious way, Juniper's presence on the weekend was deeply felt by everyone who was there. Even though she was in my womb, she was already serving others and serving God.

If one person can attend a weekend because of this fund, or if one person is inspired to attend a weekend because of Juniper, we believe that Juniper's life will continue to be powerful and meaningful.
